Alterations and Apparel Design Internship with CassB by design
Aug. 2024-June 2025
As an alterations and apparel design intern at CassB, I worked on alterations, custom designs, and beyond. This was an amazing opportunity to learn the necessary knowledge about the evening wear and custom design world. I have learned about alterations, patternmaking, custom design, the ins and outs of owning a business, and so much more. Below are photos of a few projects that I have assisted in making so far. I encourage you to click the "Learn More" button to see a detailed description of the projects.

"Opulence"
January 2025
Opulence is a collection that I have designed inspired by royal architecture. Ornate ceilings, floral stained glass windows, full of grandeur intricate designs. These dresses are designed inspired by a pastel colored palace full of unique architectural details. I can imagine a princess wearing these dresses to a ball inside her very own palace surrounded by the inspiration for her dress that was taken from that very room.

Adaptive Apparel Assignment
In APD 341 we were challenged to create adaptive apparel
looks for a few students with disabilities. The first look
is a design for a student named River, who sometimes
has to use a wheelchair, but also really enjoys wearing
dresses. So I designed a dress that has a detachable
skirt, and a detachable bottom half of the skirt so
it wont get stuck in their wheelchair.
The second look is for Bella who enjoys wearing
comfortable clothes. I designed a custom pattern for
her T-shirt featuring a few of her favorite things.

"Modern Workwear for the Modern Woman"
January 2025
I created this collection of designs made for the modern corporate woman. Many designs that I have seen in stores that are appropriate for the corporate world are outdated, and not very fashionable. I wanted to create looks that can allow for a fashionable corporate woman to show up to her workplace looking confident, and stylish.

The Silk Road Fashion Show
UNCG Threads
November 2025
Sunday, November 16th I had the opportunity to present three designs in the UNCG Threads Silk Road Fashion show. During my research on the Silk Road, I got inspiration from the lucrative commodities that were traded during this time. Therefore, my designs are inspired by three things that were traded along the Silk Road- Roses, Pearls, and Jade. Along with presenting my designs, I had the opportunity to help in running the show through my position on the executive board of Threads. Being the VP of marketing for this club has taught me so much, and I am forever grateful for this opportunity.

November 10th, 2024 I had the opportunity to participate in the Threads Pink Power Fashion Show. All proceeds from the show were donated to Living Beyond Breast Cancer. For this event we were challenged to create any look we desired, with the only requirement being a pink or skin-tone color palette. My design for this show was titled "Reverie". The definition of reverie is, "a state of being pleasantly lost in one's thoughts; a daydream." My inspiration for this look came from the animated Barbie movies I used to watch all the time as a kid. As a kid I would daydream about being a part of these fascinating Barbie universes, which is where the name "Reverie" came from.

Gallery Walk Fashion Show | UNCG Threads
Feb. 2024
This dress that I created for the "Threads Gallery Walk" fashion show was inspired by the "Starry Night" painting by Vincent Van Gogh. I was particularly drawn to this painting because not only does it represent the calm of the night time that I love, but it is also a painting that my mom really loves as well. Growing up, a copy of this painting was hanging on my mom's bedroom wall, so whenever I see this painting it brings me back to the innocence and playfulness of childhood. To create this piece I first created a mood board to generate my ideas, I then drew the sketch for my design, created the patterns, created a muslin draft of my dress, lastly, I began working on the final garment. For this fashion show, I also did the hair and makeup, and modeled my garment.

Custom cocktail dress
Nov. 2024
I created this cocktail dress for the purpose of wearing it during the event of CassB by design's fashion show. On November 3rd 2024, I helped within the behind the scenes as an event coordinator, design assistant, day of seamstress, production team member, event decorator, and a model committee member. The bulk of my work throughout this fashion show was assisting Cassidy in producing her looks for her new collection, "The Modern Bride", which debuted at this show.
Olaplex Advertisement
April 2024
In CRS 262 at UNCG, we took part in an assignment to create an advertisement based on a trait not previously advertised on in a hair care company. Together we worked in groups to come up with the ideas for the advertisement, and I created the advertisement based on the ideas we came up with using Canva. Our advertisement focused on sustainability in the hair care brand "Olaplex"

Urban Outfitters Advertisement
March 2024
In CRS 262 at UNCG, we took part in an assignment to create an advertisement based on a sales promotion strategy. The sales promotion strategy that my group chose to use was the "limited time only" strategy. This strategy often convinces consumers to purchase a product because it is only going to be this low of a price for a limited time. Based on the ideas we came up with as a group, I created this advertisement for Urban Outfitters using Canva.

Technical Flat
May 2024
This technical flat was created utilizing Adobe Illustrator, for the purpose of designing a dress that has big bows on the shoulders, and a short length, perfect for the summer time. Many summer dresses are plain and simple, but I designed this flat in hopes of designing a more interesting appeal to a summer dress, with bows on the shoulders.

Business card for client
Nov. 2023
The client requested a business card design in which his future want of a career as a pilot could be expressed to professionals in this field. The client gave me full range in designing this card, with his only requests of it being a mix of serious and playful, and show his love of airplanes. I utilized Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop to create this business card.

Brand Advertisement
April 2024
In CRS 262 at UNCG, we took part in an assignment creating a brand, and brand advertisement for the needs for professional fashion for a middle age group of consumers. My group and I created a brand called "Gens" which means "people" in French. Representing how our brand is for everybody. The professional attire is seemingly luxury, but at an affordable price, so that all people can experience luxury fashion regardless of their income status. After discussing the ideas of our group, I created this advertisement using Canva.

Plothes Instagram Advertisement
March 2024
In CRS 262 at UNCG, for our final project, we had to create an in depth fashion brand along with missions, target consumers, social media strategy, competitor analysis, advertisement creation, and more. The brand my group and I came up with was "Plothes". This brand consists of 100% biodegradable clothing. The overall feelings of this brand are playful, and young. Based on the ideas my group and I came up with, these two advertisements are some examples of the advertisements I created using Canva.

"Your Logo"
Nov. 2023
In CRS 242 we had an assignment where we created our own personal logos using Adobe Illustrator. Our logos were supposed to show who we are as a person. I made my logo be my initials (jp), but I made the "p" into a bow, because bows are very representative of who I am. I love bows, how feminine they are, and people have told me that whenever they see a bow they think of me.

Form Final Project
Dec. 2023
In CRS 242 we had an assignment where we chose a design element, and found real life fashion that used that element. Then we had to find objects in the world that are not fashion based and compare them to those fashion looks. We then used Adobe Photoshop to make it all into a poster. I chose form as my design element because I love avant-garde fashion, and form is most associated with this type of fashion.

Jumpsuits
June 2024
These jumpsuits were created using a custom drafted pattern to the measurements that I desired. The green jumpsuit is made using a cotton gauze fabric, and the tan jumpsuit is made using 100% linen fabric. I was inspired by typical beachwear, and utilizing sustainable materials for these jumpsuits.
